Copenhagen, a flowing city (25’)

The city is a complex organism. At times a young one, other times historically rich. It may be rational, or chaotic. It is a continually evolving organism, developing slowly, or rapidly. But what about people: are people really at the center of this evolution?

What does it mean to plan the space surrounding the metropolitan man? According to some contemporary urban planners, this means to plan and design multifunctional spaces intended for a varied population; it means to plan people oriented cities where the presence of cars is balanced by good road planning, places where local identity is always present, and where citizens can enjoy an intense public life. In many different ways, the city of Copenhagen embodies all these definitions. People first.

Copenhagen, a flowing city is a short film part of the Kimera documentary project.
